american idol jan 30 ratings TV ratings: 'American Idol' holds steady as FOX dominates WednesdayFast National ratings for Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013

“American Idol” stayed even with its adults 18-49 rating of a week ago (although it lost a few viewers) and gave FOX a dominant ratings win Wednesday night.

ABC and CBS aired mostly repeats, although CBS’ “Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials” special was up a bit over recent airings. NBC got decent numbers from “Law & Order: SVU” and “Chicago Fire,” and while “Arrow” was down a bit for The CW, “Supernatural” improved some.

FOX drew 15.6 million viewers and a 9.1 rating/14 share among households in primetime. CBS (8.1 million, 5.2/8) finished a fairly distant second. NBC (5.6 million, 3.8/6) came in third, followed by ABC (4.8 million, 3.0/5). The CW averaged 2.6 million viewers and a 1.6/2.

FOX scored a 5.4 rating among adults 18-49, equal with its performance last week. CBS was second in the demographic with a 1.8. NBC’s 1.6 edged ABC’s 1.5 for third, while The CW posted a 0.9.
