“America’s Got Talent” carried NBC to a ratings win Tuesday on a night when the broadcast networks interrupted their schedules for a 15-minute speech on Syria by President Obama. “The Million Second Quiz” was down a little in its second night on the Peacock.

Elsewhere, the season finale of “So You Think You Can Dance” was steady with last week. “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” was down some for The CW.

NBC averaged 7.8 million viewers and a 4.9 rating/8 share in households for the night. (Numbers for all of the big four nets are subject to revision because of the president’s address). CBS (7.1 million, 4.7/8) took second. FOX came in third, but was well behind the leaders with 4.2 million viewers and a 2.7/4. ABC (3.6 million, 2.5/4) was fourth, and The CW (1.4 million, 0.9/1) trailed.

NBC led the 18-49 demographic as well, scoring a 2.0 rating. FOX finished second with a 1.3, and ABC and CBS tied for third at 1.0. The CW drew a 0.5.
