“America’s Next Top Model” returned with its 21st cycle but was down slightly from its premiere a year ago. Elsewhere, “Under the Dome” was the top show of the night in viewers and also hit its best numbers since July 14, while “American Ninja Warrior” was top show of the night in the adults 18-49 demographic and also got NBC within inches of besting CBS for the total-viewers crown.

But CBS still came out on top in total viewers, earning 5.50 million and a 3.6 rating/6 share in households. NBC was right on its heels with 5.49 million and a 3.2/5, followed by FOX at 4.9 million and a 2.9/5. ABC was fourth with 4.4 million and a 3.1/5 and The CW was fifth with 1.5 million and a 0.9/2.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, it was a tie for first between NBC and FOX at 1.7, followed by a tie for third between ABC and CBS at 1.1. The CW was fifth with a 0.6 rating.
