The premiere of “Arrow” Wednesday scored The CW’s biggest audience in almost three years, drawing 4 million viewers and tying NBC in its hour among adults 18-49. It also helped boost “Supernatural” to its biggest tune-in in two years.

Elsewhere, ABC’s “Nashville” won the battle of new drama premieres at 10 o’clock Wednesday over NBC’s “Chicago Fire,” but neither show set the ratings ablaze. “Nashville” did win the hour in adults 18-49, but it also dropped significantly in its second half-hour. “Chicago Fire” finished third at 10, but it did build slightly on its “Law & Order: SVU” lead-in.

CBS led Wednesday in viewers with 10.5 million and a 6.7 rating/11 share in households. ABC (9.38 million, 5.9/9) edged FOX (9.36 million, 5.6/9) for second place. NBC (5.55 million, 3.7/6) came in fourth. The CW drew 3.3 million viewers and a 2.0/3.

FOX won the adults 18-49 demographic with a 3.4 rating, beating out ABC’s 3.2 for the top spot. CBS was third at 2.8. NBC posted a 1.6 in the demo and The CW a 1.2.
