‘Twas the night after Christmas, when all through America, viewers found other things to do besides watching television. Nevertheless, CBS’ Sunday night lineup of reruns pulled in the most eyes, although FOX scored the adult demo victory thanks to some football runover. The audience for ABC’s holiday airing of “The Sound of Music” grew throughout the night as the Von Trapps banded together.

CBS drew in 8.59 million viewers and a 5.3 rating/9 share in households. Not far behind, however, was FOX with 8.2 million viewers and a 4.6/8. Next came ABC (6.2 million, 3.7/6) and NBC (4.4 million, 2.7/5).

FOX led in adults 18-49 with a 3.1 rating. CBS had a 1.6, and ABC and NBC tied with a 1.4 apiece.
