The People’s Choice Awards helped CBS score a ratings win Wednesday night, while NBC’s “Law & Order: SVU” and ABC’s comedies had decent showings as well.

Make that ABC’s half-hour comedies. The move of “Ugly Betty” to Wednesdays didn’t give a boost to the show.

CBS averaged 10 million viewers and a 6.3 rating/10 share in households for the night. NBC (7.8 million, 5.1/8) came in second, a little ahead of ABC (7.3 million, 4.6/7). Reruns on FOX (3.4 million, 2.2/3) and The CW (691,000, 0.5/1) were at the back of the pack.

CBS also led among adults 18-49 with a 3.2 rating, beating out ABC’s 2.6. NBC came in third in the demographic with a 2.1, followed by FOX, 1.3, and The CW, 0.3.

ABC: “The Middle” – two episodes (7.9 million, 4.9/8)
