dan big brother 14 TV ratings: CBS wins with 'Big Brother,' 'Big Bang' and the RNCFast national ratings for Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012

Although the final night of the 2012 Republican National Convention aired on every network, CBS managed to walk away with a ratings win anyway, just barely beating out ABC to win the night. The numbers aren’t 100 percent accurate since the convention began before primetime in many parts of the country, but “Big Brother,” sitcom repeats and the convention gave the eye network a win.

CBS averaged 5.7 million viewers for the night, earning a 3.9 rating/6 household share, narrowly beating out ABC’s 5.2 million and 3.4/6. Following behind were NBC with 3.6 million (2.4/4), FOX with 3.5 million (2.3/4) and The CW with 1.3 million (0.9/1).

Winning the 18-49 demographic was CBS with a 1.8, with ABC getting a 1.4, FOX a 1.1, NBC a 1.0 and The CW a 0.5.
