little big town pontoon cmas gi TV ratings: CMA Awards fall Thursday while 'Big Bang Theory' scores bigFast National ratings for Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012

The CMA Awards hit an all-time low for ABC on Thursday, although they still carried the network to a ratings win for the night. CBS, meanwhile, was up a beat in adults 18-49 over last week, and “The Big Bang Theory” hit a season high — although an NFL game carried by the network’s San Diego station could account for some of that bump.

Elsewhere, “The Vampire Diaries” scored its biggest audience since its season premiere three weeks ago, but “Beauty and the Beast” fell in viewers (though it was up slightly in The CW’s target demo of adults 18-34). “The X Factor,” on the other hand, was down from Wednesday’s show.

ABC averaged 13.6 million viewers and an 8.4 rating/13 share in households in primetime, beating out the 12.6 million viewers and 7.9/12 for CBS. FOX (6.2 million, 3.7/6) was a fairly distant third. NBC (4.1 million, 2.8/4) came in fourth, and The CW trailed with 2.45 million viewers and a 1.5/2.

ABC also led the 18-49 demographic with a 3.8 rating. CBS finished second with a 3.2, followed by FOX at 2.3. NBC averaged 1.3 in the demo and The CW 1.1.
