criminal minds 200th episode ratings TV ratings: 'Criminal Minds' 200th episode and 'American Idol' rise WednesdayFast National ratings for Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014

The “Hollywood or Home” wrinkle on “American Idol” boosted the show’s ratings a bit over last week, and FOX once again secured the night’s top spot in both viewers and adults 18-49. Wednesday’s “Idol” also halted two weeks of ratings slides after the season premiere.

Elsewhere, the 200th episode of CBS’ “Criminal Minds” scored the show’s biggest total audience since May 2012 and matched a season high in adults 18-49. ABC’s “Suburgatory” and “Modern Family” also rose (“Suburgatory” had its best viewer numbers in a year), and “Chicago PD” held steady for NBC.

FOX scored 13.3 million viewers and an 8.0 rating/12 share in households for the night, beating out CBS’ 10.7 million and 6.7/10. ABC (6.7 million, 4.3/7) finished third. NBC (5.6 million, 3.7/6) was fourth, and The CW (2.1 million, 1.3/2) brought up the rear.

FOX’s lead among adults 18-49 was wider: It drew a 3.9 rating in the demographic, easily outpacing the 2.1 for second-place CBS. ABC came in third with a 1.9, followed by NBC, 1.5, and The CW, 0.7.
