“Glee” was up significantly Thursday from its last original episode, scoring its best ratings in some time with an episode that dealt with a (supposed) school shooting. “American Idol” was also up for FOX with its best Thursday numbers in a month.

Also Thursday, “Hannibal” held steady in its second week on NBC, equaling its premiere audience in both viewers and adults 18-49. The network’s comedies were up slightly too on a night when CBS aired a full slate of reruns and ABC rested its two dramas.

FOX led the night with 9.8 million viewers and a 6.0 rating/9 share in households, beating out CBS’ 9 million and 5.7/9. ABC (4.2 million, 2.9/5) was a good distance back in third. NBC came in fourth with 3.5 million viewers and a 2.3/4, and The CW (942,000, 0.7/1) trailed with a night of reruns.

FOX easily led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 2.7 rating, 0.8 better than second-place CBS (1.9). NBC took third in the demo with a 1.5, followed by ABC, 1.2, and The CW, 0.3.
