CBS swept every half hour of primetime in adults 18-49 Monday. “How I Met Your Mother” hit a season high in the demographic, and “Rules of Engagement” had a solid premiere. The Super Bowl striptease promo for “2 Broke Girls,” however, didn’t help — it was down a little bit from its last original episode two weeks ago.

Elsewhere, “The Following” fell some for FOX but finished a pretty strong second in its hour. “The Carrie Diaries” improved for the second consecutive week on The CW and hit series highs the network’s teen and young-adult core.

CBS averaged 10.1 million viewers and a 6.3 rating/10 share in households for the night. FOX (9 million, 5.4/8) came in second, a little ahead of ABC (8.1 million, 5.4/8). NBC finished fourth with 4.9 million viewers and a 3.1/5. The CW trailed with 1.2 million viewers and a 0.8/1.

The adults 18-49 title also went to CBS, which drew a 3.1 rating in the demographic. FOX took second with a 2.6. ABC, 2.2, was third, followed by NBC, 1.8, and The CW, 0.5.
