FOX cruised to its usual ratings win Wednesday thanks to “American Idol,” but once again no network had much to crow about.

FOX scored 13.7 million viewers and an 8.0 rating/13 share in households for the night, down a bit from last week. CBS (9.75 million, 6.2/10) came in second, but neither of its dramas were up to their season averages. NBC (6.4 million, 4.2/7) came in third, beating out ABC (4.5 million, 3.0/5). The CW trailed with 2.3 million viewers and a 1.5/3.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, FOX’s 4.3 rating led by a comfortable margin over CBS’ 2.6. NBC took third was a 1.9, followed by ABC, 1.5, and The CW, 1.0.
