new girl nov 5 13 ratings TV ratings: 'NCIS' and 'The Voice' fall, 'New Girl' rises TuesdayFast National ratings for Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013

Tuesday’s ratings played out according to pattern, with “NCIS” running away with the total-viewer crown and “The Voice” leading the adults 18-49 demographic. Both shows, however, were down a bit from last week.

ABC’s lineup was also off a little, with “Agents of SHIELD” losing a tenth of a point in adults 18-49 compared to its last original episode. On the positive side, FOX’s “New Girl” and “The Mindy Project” improved on their last originals, and “The Biggest Loser” rose week to week for NBC. “The Originals” and “Supernatural” were fairly steady.

CBS scored 15.1 million viewers and a 9.6 rating/15 share in households for the night, leading second-place NBC (9.7 million, 5.9/9) by a wide margin. ABC (4.9 million, 3.2/5) came in third. FOX took fourth with 3.6 million viewers and a 2.1/3, and The CW (2.1 million, 1.3/2) trailed.

NBC topped the 18-49 demo with a 2.9 rating, half a point better than CBS’ 2.4. FOX’s 1.6 edged ABC’s 1.5 for third. The CW drew a 0.9.
