ncis oct 30 ratings TV ratings: 'NCIS' and 'The Voice' up Tuesday but 'New Girl' and 'Emily Owens' dropFast National ratings for Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012

The broadcast networks went back to regular programming for the most part on Tuesday (with the exception of news specials on ABC and NBC), and ratings were pretty solid despite the aftereffects of Sandy. Or, in some cases, possibly because of it — some stations pre-empted their prime-time lineups for storm coverage.

“NCIS” was up some from last week for CBS, and “The Voice” rose for NBC as well. The news was not as good for FOX’s “New Girl” and The CW’s “Emily Owens, M.D.,” both of which hit season lows. “Happy Endings” and “Don’t Trust the B— in Apt. 23” were also down from their premieres last week.

CBS easily led the night in total audience, averaging 15.1 million viewers and a 9.5 rating/14 share in households. NBC (10.8 million, 6.3/10) came in second. ABC (6.9 million, 4.7/7) finished third, topping the 3.8 million viewers and 2.2/3 for FOX. The CW trailed with 1.2 million viewers and a 0.8/1.

NBC scored the top spot among adults 18-49 with a 4.0 rating. CBS, 2.6, was the only other network to break the 2.0 mark. FOX grabbed third with a 1.7, followed by ABC at 1.5. The CW averaged 0.5 in the demographic.
