peytonmanning colts 290 TV ratings: NFL games score for CBS and NBC SundayFast National ratings for Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009

A late-afternoon NFL game that spilled into primetime carried CBS to the top of the ratings on Sunday, at least for now, while NBC got lower-than-usual numbers for a lackluster matchup on “Sunday Night Football.”

Because of the live sports broadcasts numbers for CBS and NBC will change some, but as things stand now CBS led the night’s overall race with 12.6 million viewers and a 7.6 rating/12 share in households. NBC was close behind with just under 12 million viewers and a 7.3/12. ABC (10 million, 6.1/10) came in third, followed by FOX (6.3 million, 3.7/6).

NBC won the adults 18-49 demographic with a 4.5 rating, topping CBS’ 3.6. ABC finished third in the demo at 3.2, a little ahead of FOX’s 3.0.
