cast of person of interest cbs TV Ratings: 'Person of Interest,' 'The Mentalist' crush the competitionFast National ratings for Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011

CBS again flattened the competition with a Thursday night line-up that gets stronger by the week. Both “Person of Interest” (which according to CBS had its biggest viewership since its premiere) and “The Mentalist” were run-away ratings leaders, though that’s hardly surprising considering the other networks stuck with an almost exclusive slate of re-runs.

CBS snagged 11.9 million viewers and a 7.4 rating/12 share in households for the night, beating the next closest competition — FOX (7.5 million, 4.7/7) — by a long-shot. ABC (5.8 million, 3.7/6), NBC (2.7 million, 1.8/3) and The CW (945,000, 0.7/1) all finished well behind the Tiffany network.

CBS also won the adults 18-49 race with a 2.8 rating. FOX was second with 2.2, followed by ABC (1.6), NBC (0.8) and The CW (0.3).
