saints getty nfc TV ratings: Saints' first NFC championship huge for FOXThe Vikings-Saints NFC championship game that ended in a dramatic overtime Saints win powered FOX to a huge Sunday win.

FOX won the night with 52 million viewers, a 27.6 rating/41 share, which is an absolutely massive night, even for an NFL playoff game. In contrast, last Sunday’s CBS Jets-Chargers playoff game only garnered 18 million, 10.5/16 share, though it was up against the Golden Globes.

It didn’t hurt that Sunday, Jan. 24 saw most shows on ABC and CBS in reruns, but NBC’s AT&T U.S. Figure Skating broadcast still couldn’t even sniff the ratings of the Vikings-Saints game. In the all-important 18-49 demo, FOX won with a 19.0 rating/43 share. The next-highest was ABC with a 1.9/4.
