ABC’s “Scandal” recorded its best ratings ever with its next-to-last episode of the season, topping every other drama on the air Thursday in adults 18-49. “The Office” also saw a ratings bump a week before its series finale, growing by half a point in the 18-49 demographic.

Also Thursday, “The Big Bang Theory” was even with last week’s fast nationals and again claimed the title of the night’s most-watched show. The season finales of “Two and a Half Men,” “Glee” and “Community” were all up over last week. “American Idol” rose a little too.

CBS drew 12.1 million viewers and a 7.5 rating/12 share in households for the night, winning the viewer race by a pretty comfortable margin over FOX (8.6 million, 5.5/9). ABC (7.3 million, 4.8/8) came in third. NBC took fourth with 3.3 million viewers and a 2.1/3. The CW finished with 1.7 million viewers and a 1.1/2.

CBS also led the 18-49 demographic with a 2.7 rating. ABC and FOX tied for second at 2.4. NBC scored a 1.5 in the demo and The CW a 0.7.
