superbowl rodgers matthews hug TV Ratings: Super Bowl XLV may be the biggest in history, post game programming downFast National ratings for Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011

Super Bowl XLV may have clocked record ratings, if the fast affiliate numbers – which run significantly higher than last year’s record-breaking numbers – have anything to say about it. This year’s game has a ratings/household share with about a 3% increase over last year’s. Post-game programming, however, is down – fewer people watched this year’s “Glee” than last year’s “Undercover Boss.”

FOX drew 75.2 million viewers and a 37.6 rating/57 share in primetime. The rest of the networks followed: CBS (3.9 million, 2.5/4), ABC (2.9 million, 1.8/3) and NBC (2.6 million, 1.8/3).

More accurate numbers will be released later in the day. Look for a separate ratings post then.

adults 18-49 rating from 7 to 11 p.m. was 32.4, a nice bump from CBS’s 29.7
on Super Bowl night last year. ABC and CBS both had 0.7, and NBC had a 0.6.
