“The Bachelor” and “Castle” combined to give ABC a ratings win in both viewers and adults 18-49 Monday night. CBS’ comedy block was down — “How I Met Your Mother” scored the night’s best 18-49 rating, but all four shows in the block were off from last week, and “2 Broke Girls” had its smallest demo rating of the season.

Elsewhere, “The Following” was down slightly from last week in adults 18-49 (but up in total viewers) but remained pretty solid for FOX. “Bones” improved some on its performance from last week. “The Carrie Diaries” and “90210” were up slgihtly for The CW, while “The Biggest Loser” was even for NBC.

ABC delivered 9.6 million viewers and a 6.3 rating/10 share in households to lead the night. FOX (8.6 million, 5.2/8) narrowly beat CBS (8.2 million, 5.3/8) for second. NBC took fourth with 4.9 million viewers and a 3.1/5. The CW (839,000, 0.6/1) failed to crack the million-viewer mark.

The Alphabet also led the 18-49 demographic with a 2.7 rating. CBS and FOX tied for second at 2.5. NBC posted a 1.8 in the demo, while The CW drew a 0.4.
