voice-s5-finale-ratings.JPGFast National ratings for Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013

The finale of “The Voice” scored the show’s best Tuesday ratings in close to two months, but it fell well short of both of last season’s finales. It was down a full point in adults 18-49 from last December’s season ender and half a point from the spring season finale.

Elsewhere Tuesday, CBS’ dramas all rose in viewers vs. their last new episodes, led by “NCIS,” which held its spot as the night’s most-watched show. All three, however, were flat or down slightly in adults 18-49. The other three networks aired mostly reruns for the night.

CBS averaged 15.6 million viewers and a 9.8 rating/16 share in households for the night, leading NBC (11.5 million, 7.1/11) by a good margin. There was a steep drop to third place, which went to ABC (2.8 million, 1.9/3). FOX took fourth with 1.8 million viewers and a 1.2/2, and The CW (937,000, 0.6/1) trailed.

NBC easily led the 18-49 demographic with a 3.3 rating. CBS finished second with a 2.4. None of the other three managed to get above a 1.0 — ABC and FOX tied for third at 0.8, and The CW came in at 0.3.
