An overtime thriller in Game 6 of the NBA Finals gave ABC its best ratings of the series Tuesday and carried the network to a win for the night. But the finale of “The Voice” also scored for NBC.

“The Voice” recorded its best finale ever in total viewers and was nearly even with last spring’s finale in the 18-49 demographic (although it was down from the fall edition’s finale). “America’s Got Talent” was also solid for NBC. The night’s only other original show, FOX’s “So You Think You Can Dance,” dropped against the heavier competition.

NBC currently leads the total-viewer race with just over 14 million and an 8.6 rating/14 share in households. ABC (13.7 million, 8.2/13) is close behind, pending adjustments for the live NBA broadcast. CBS finished a distant third with 6.4 million viewers and a 4.3/7. FOX (3.85 million, 2.4/4) came in fourth. The CW brought up the rear with 652,000 viewers and a 0.4/1.

ABC easily won the 18-49 demographic with a 5.4 rating, beating NBC’s 3.8. FOX was third at 1.4, followed by CBS, 0.9, and The CW, 0.3.
