The Season 5 premiere of “Rookie Blue” on ABC Thursday dropped some from last year’s opener, recording its lowest U.S. premiere among adults 18-49. It was, however, the biggest total-viewer draw from 9 to 11 o’clock Thursday.

Elsewhere Thursday, “Hell’s Kitchen” was up over last week for FOX and tied for the night’s best 18-49 rating. “Undateable” remained steady for NBC, and “Last Comic Standing” was up some to lead its hour in the demographic. The Critics’ Choice Television Awards drew so-so numbers for The CW.

CBS led the night overall with 5.2 million viewers and a 3.4 rating/6 share in households, edging ABC’s 5.1 million and 3.4/6. FOX (3.8 million, 2.3/4) came in third. NBC (3.3 million, 2.2/4) was fourth, and The CW (1 million, 0.7/1) trailed.

FOX won the 18-49 demographic with a 1.3 rating. CBS and NBC tied for second at 1.1, followed by ABC at 0.9. The CW posted a 0.3.
