work it premiere ratings TV ratings: 'Work It' has mediocre premiere for ABC, CBS coasts to Tuesday winFast national ratings for Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012

The debuts of “Work It” and “Celebrity Wife Swap” didn’t make much noise for ABC Tuesday, with “Work It” starting below the premiere of the show it replaced, “Man Up.” CBS’ dramas, meanwhile, were up across the board from their most recent new episodes, and the premiere of a new “Biggest Loser” was up a smidge over the fall opener but down from last January.

CBS dominated the night’s overall numbers, drawing 16.2 million viewers and a 10.0 rating/15 share in households. No one else drew even half that many people. ABC was the best of the rest with 6.7 million viewers and a 4.3/7, beating NBC’s 6 million and 3.7/6. FOX (2.6 million, 1.7/3) and The CW (857,000, 0.6/1) both went with reruns.

CBS’ lead among adults 18-49 wasn’t quite as large, but its 3.4 rating still won the night comfortably over NBC’s 2.1. ABC took third at 2.0, followed by FOX, 1.0, and The CW, 0.3.
