crushworthy dead characters round2 TV's Most Crushworthy dearly departed: Sasha Alexander vs. Mischa Barton and Ian Somerhalder vs. Jamie DornanLast week, Zap2it asked our readers to make some tough decisions in our TV’s Most Crushworthy competition. This week, it’s runoff time as we seek out the Ultimate TV Crush.

We’re not overly surprised at two of the finalists in the polls for characters whose on-screen lives were cut short: Marissa Cooper (Mischa Barton) was a central part of “The O.C.” for three seasons before her untimely death. And while Boone (Ian Somerhalder) was the first major character to die on “Lost,” his online fans are not at all shy about showing their support.

The people who made the runoff round against them, though? Not who we would have bet on at the start. Marissa’s opponent is Caitlin Todd (Sasha Alexander) from “NCIS,” who beat out Juliet (Elizabeth Mitchell) from “Lost” and a pair of Whedonverse characters, Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter) from “Angel” and Tara (Amber Benson) from “Buffy.” “NCIS” isn’t the most-watched drama on TV for nothing, though.

Boone, meanwhile, will face off against “Once Upon a Time’s” Sheriff Graham (Jamie Dornan), who narrowly beat out Ned Stark (Sean Bean) from “Game of Thrones” to advance. It was pretty much a fight for second place, though, as Boone gathered more than three times as many votes as anyone else in the first round.
