aronsohn getty 'Two and a Half Men': Lee Aronsohn quits as showrunnerJust as it appears Ashton Kutcher and the rest of the “Two and a Half Men” team are ready to re-up for one more year, the program is losing one of its key creative visionaries. EP Lee Aronsohn is leaving the show.

Aronsohn, who co-created the highly-rated comedy with Chuck Lorre, will be replaced by Don Reo and Jim Patterson. Reo joined “Men” as a consulting producer in 2010. Patterson has been with the series since 2006. The Hollywood Reporter is saying that Aronsohn will transition into a consulting position on the show.

WBTV has not commented on the matter.

Aronsohn caused a bit of a stir recently when he complained that there were  too many female-centric comedies on TV. At the time he says, “We’re approaching peak vagina on television, the point of labia saturation.” Aronsohn later apologized for these statements. That said, the publication cites sources as saying the change had nothing to do with these remarks and that the transition had been in the works for a while.
