“Game of Thrones” is coming to IMAX for the week of Jan. 29, and a trailer for the event has been released online. Season 4’s final two episodes will be shown back-to-back during the screenings, and a first-look trailer of Season 5 will premiere, as you can see in the teaser above.
Though most of the 42-second video was focused on the episodes that will be screened, there was a two-second look at Season 5. Yes, literally two seconds.
Let’s get that on a loop so everyone can treasure the precious moments of new footage:
The scene that is barely teased is likely the first viewers will see of Peter Dinklage’s Tyrion Lannister in Season 5. His final moments in Season 4 showed him shipped off in a box by Varys, and here he is falling out of it.
Tyrion was also highlighted in the Season 5 footage included in HBO’s year-ending wrap-up video. There he’s seen hooded, bearded and angry, though it’s unclear where he actually is.

Whenever the Imp ends up, it won’t be in King’s Landing. Both he and Varys peaced out from the Red Keep after Tyrion murdered his father, Tywin, and lover, Shae, and they aren’t the only characters who are heading to new locations. Arya Stark ends up in Braavos in Season 5, and Jaime Lannister is heading to Dorne.
Chances are Tyrion will pass through Volantis, which is a new setting showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss confirmed for Season 5. Viewers will see some, if not all, of these new locations in the upcoming “Game of Thrones” half-hour documentary “A Day in the Life,” which airs on Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT on HBO. Meanwhile, Season 5 premieres on April 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
