Sorry, “Saved By the Bell” and “Full House,” you’re old news, now. Zap2it has confirmed that the behind-the-scenes, untold story of “Beverly Hill, 90210” is coming to Lifetime.
“The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story,” which is in the same vein as the unauthorized “Saved By the Bell” movie and the upcoming “Full House” movie, is set to follow the drama between cast members and producers both on and off the set. The movie will take place during the first four seasons of the teen soap drama that aired from 1990 to 2000.

The stars featured in those first four seasons include the likes of Jason Priestly, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Luke Perry, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling. The film is being penned by Jeff Rhoda, directed by Vanessa Parise, executive produced by Peter M. Green and Howard Braunstein and produced by Christian Bruyere.
There’s no word on who will play actors Priestly, Doherty and Co. But if Lifetime is looking to keep it in the “90210” family, why not look on over at Carteris’ 21-year-old and 16-year-old daughters, Kelsey and Molly. They’re the right age, aren’t they?
