NBC has released the first episode episode of “Friday Night at The Luncheonette,” their “Parenthood” web series. The series is notable because it contains a crossover with the dearly departed “Friday Night Lights.”
In the episode, Max (Max Burkholder) is documenting Amber’s (Mae Whitman) work life, as she explains exactly what she does at The Luncheonette. It all starts falling apart though she she has to watch him longer than expected and it conflicts with an after hours appointment she booked.
That’s where Jesse Plemons and Derek Phillips come in, reprising their “Friday Night Lights” roles of Landry and Billy, respectively. Their band, Crucifictorious, is recording in the studio. You’ll have to wait for the next episode to see them play, though.

You may have seen him as a pro-shark protester in "Sharknado 3." His eventual memoir will be called "You're Wrong, Here's Why..." TV words to live by: "I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing."
