As part of a bit about classroom instruments on “Late Night” Wednesday (Sept. 25), host Jimmy Fallon and the Roots were joined by everyone’s favorite muppets — Big Bird, Snuffleupagus, Elmo, Grover, Zoe, Abby, Cookie Monster and more — for a sing-along.

The Count gives the countdown, naturally – a 1, a 2, a 1-2-3-4 and the gang launches into the theme song from long-running PBS children’s program “Sesame Street,” including a rap section!

You heard about through word of mouth
Big Bird is out, he’s in the house.
He turning up with Snuffleup.
They really gettin’ their hustle up.
They stick together like velcro.
There Grover go, there’s Elmo.
And Cookie Monster, he lookin’ like
He take selfies with his cell phone.
They got a home girl named Abby
Her last name is Cadabby.
I showed her my report card
She said, ‘Not too shabby.’
They got all types of cool kids there
It’s lots of fun if you live there
But one thing I keep forgettin’ about Sesame Street —
How do you get there?

So much awesome.
