It was the tracking shot heard around the world, when “True Detective” featured a six-minute scene filmed all in one, long take during episode 4.
In the shot, Cohle (Matthew McConaughey) goes into a heist. Eventually things go south and he has to make a quick getaway. The camera follows him through the gunfire until he finally escapes into Hart’s (Woody Harrelson) car, keeping a hostage with him the entire time.
Director Cary Fukunaga has already explained how he went about shooting the scene, and now you have the chance to watch it, if you missed it.
“True Detective” airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.

Chris E. Hayner is equal parts nerd, crazy person and coffee. He watches too much TV, knows more about pro wrestling than you do and remembers every single show from the TGIF lineup. You may have seen him as a pro-shark protester in "Sharknado 3." His eventual memoir will be called "You're Wrong, Here's Why..." TV words to live by: "I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing."
