What really happened at the star-studded Darfur benefit held on a yacht near Cannes last night?

Here’s the scoop from, which sources the news from the Daily Mail.

George Clooney and Brad Pitt were among 200 VIP guests paying up to 100,000 pounds (roughly double that for dollars) for a single ticket to the so-called "party to end all parties.” The event raised a reported $9.2 million (Steven Spielberg kicked in $1 million). Daniel Craig, Ellen Barkin, Matt Damon and Al Pacino were also aboard the $150 million ‘mega-yacht’ RM Elegant, that was moored off the Cap d’Antibes. (Update: Angie did not attend but stayed home because it was Shiloh‘s first birthday!)

Guests enjoyed a four-course dinner, including lobster, beef with truffles and a choice of five desserts. There was an outdoor jacuzzi filled with floating rose petals, a full casino, magicians, circus acts, a surround-sound music system (duh) and interactive games console ‘play area’, and skeet shooting from the upper decks.

An 18-year-old waitress named Victoria Hart landed the gig of a lifetime, singing during the lavish benefit for Darfur. Click here for more information on this very, very lucky girl. She’s already recorded her first album, but prior to the party had no record deal. Bet she has one now!

What about the bubbly? Five hundred bottles of Krug and Cristal bubbly were shipped in at an estimated cost of £100,000 (roughly double that for dollars). The party was reportedly the biggest event since the after-party for Matrix Reloaded four years ago – yet another Warner Brothers production.

Oh, forget the Jimmy Choos or Christian Louboutin stilettos. To avoid damaging the ship’s deck, all the women had to remove their designer heels and even the men had to go around barefoot. A small price to pay.

Photo Credits: Oh, and I almost forgot! Last night Geoge Clooney was forcibly removed from the yacht during the Darfur benefit… JUST KIDDING! This is a photo of Clooney playing around with a bodyguard/pal outside of Nobu, a London restaurant, on Feb 7, 2006. I’m sure he was on his best behavior last night. Although until we see photos of the event (OK! mag has the exclusive pixs), we can’t really be certain, now can we? Remember the Danny Devito/limoncello incident? Plus his girlfriend Lisa Snowden told WENN that "George plans to get no sleep at all in Cannes – he wants it to be mayhem." That’s our boy!
