Following the death of legendary singer Whitney Houston, her family has… landed a reality show. Naturally. “The Houstons: On Our Own” is set to premiere Oct. 24 at 9 p.m. EST with back-to-back half-hour episodes on Lifetime.
The reality show will follow those who were closest to Whitney. Focusing on her daughter and only heir, Bobbi Kristina Brown, the show will also feature Pat Houston, Whitney’s sister-in-law and manager, Whitney’s niece Rayah, brother Gary, and mother Cissy.
Nick Gordon, Whitney’s unofficially adopted son, will also feature. Gordon has lived with the singer and her family since his childhood, when Whitney invited him to live with her family after his birth mother couldn’t take care of him. Now, the 23-year-old is said to be dating 19-year-old Bobbi Kristina. Though he’s publicly stated that they’re “just close” like siblings, Bobbi Kristina has posted photos of them kissing on her Instagram account. This should be interesting.
Fourteen episodes of “The Houstons: On Our Own” are set to air.
