whitney-houston-tribute-NAACP.jpgThe 2012 NCAAP Image Awards did a typical awards show In Memoriam montage to honor the people who have passed away in the last year. But of course, special attention was given to the recent passing of music superstar Whitney Houston.

To honor Whitney, singer Yolanda Adams performed “I Love the Lord” and it was …. breathtaking. Stunning. Obviously, she’s not Whitney, but she wasn’t trying to be. And it was just so emotional and raw and beautiful. We’re pretty sure the phrase “taking you to church” should just be retired after this performance.

Did you have tears in your eyes just like we did? We’ll post video just as soon as we have it.
