On Tuesday (July 24), news broke that one of Hollywood’s biggest couples — Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart — may be in danger of breaking up since Stewart allegedly cheated on Pattinson with her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders.
So who is the guy who supposedly turned K-Stew’s head?
“Snow White and the Huntsman” was the Brit’s first feature film and, per IMDB, the only other movie on the horizon is a possible sequel to that film (which suddenly looks way more unlikely). He’s still got a big resume, though, with several commercials — for everything from “Halo 3” to “Nike” listed on his official website. Sanders also lists four short films: “Black Hole,” “Book of Eli: Passenger,” “Now to Destroy Angels” and “D-Minus.”
Sanders grew up in London where his mother ran a doll’s house shop, reports the Guardian. His father was a neuro-opthalic surgeon. He describes his first filmmaking experiences as, “Me and four friends doing ecstasy in the snow with Laurel & Hardy masks on.”
Sanders is also married to British model Liberty Ross, with whom he has two young children, Skyla and Tennyson. The couple, who live in Los Angeles, met when Ross was 17 — the younger sister of his best friend.
“I just knew I was going to marry her,” Sanders told the Guardian. “It took a while. I didn’t propose to her for seven years because I felt that she was too young and she’d resent me if she hadn’t lived. But it was good because I was off making commercials and she was modelling, so we had quite a free — not sexually free, we weren’t swinging or having other relationships … I hope! — but we both lived very independent lives, then we’d meet up. It kept the fire burning. She’s been very supportive and she’s been a strong single mother for the last year-and-a-half, because I haven’t been around.”
Ross appeared in “Snow White” as Stewart’s mother. Oy.
According to E! News, Ross sent a “mysterious tweet” just hours before news of the alleged affair broke. It read simply, “Wow.” The message and the Twitter account were then quickly deleted.
