But I have some bad news, guys.
Although Winslet is nominated for a Creative Arts Emmys for “Guest Actress in a Comedy Series (HBO’s “Extras”), she won’t be at at the Shrine on August 20th, a week before the big Emmys.
According to an email from her rep Robert Garlock, “She is in England with her family and so cannot travel at that time.”
But there’s no word yet if Kate will attend the Primetime Emmys if she wins a Creative. All four Guest Actor/Actress in a Comedy/Drama winners will be lauded at the bigger live broadcast on August 27.
So that leaves Ricci, who is nominated for her guest appearance as the girl with her finger on the explosive device (inside the guy) on “Grey’s Anatomy” as the girl everyone wants to dress. Ricci will definitely be at the Creative Emmys on August 20. She’s also a presenter that night.
And Ricci is also picking up a Sundance Film Festival donation check at the HFPA Installation Luncheon on August 17. So that makes her a very hot model for designers this month.
You won’t get to see the taped Creative Arts Emmys – hosted by Penn and Teller – airing on E! Network until August 26, the night before the Primetime Emmys.
But it’s definitely worth watching since the guest list has grown very impressive in recent years.
This year’s roster includes Tim Busfield (now on Aaron Sorkin‘s new show “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip”), Sarah Chalke from “Scrubs,” Patricia Clarkson, former “Alias” spy Jennifer Garner, Jon Cryer, Chandra Wilson and Isaiah Washington from “Grey’s Anatomy,” Bradley Whitford and Jane Kaczmarek, James Denton (the plumber in a coma), Neil Patrick Harris, Timothy Olyphant, (yup, Deadwood’s f—ing sheriff) Cesar Millan (si, the “Dog Whisperer”), Aisha Tyler, Robin Weigert (aka Calamity Jane), and Julie Bowen and Mark Valley, those hot copulating attorneys from “Boston Legal.”
