Paula Deen‘s time with the Food Network came to an end after she made a series of racist admissions made during a recent deposition. But what about her planned appearance on this season of “MasterChef”? Her role was already teased in a promo for the upcoming season, and she has a history of making appearances on the program in the past. But with the media firestorm currently surrounding Deen, could it be that she will also get axed from that food program even though her part was already been filmed?
The answer is still unclear. When reached out to for comment, a FOX spokesperson said the company has “no comment at this time.”
Of course, even if Deen does get cut from the show, she still has plenty to fall back on. Deen has her magazine, Cooking with Paula Deen. She still has her website, PaulaDeen.com. She still has her cookware that’s being sold at Wal-Mart, and her restaurants in Georgia, Mississippi and Indiana.
She still has a following of avid fans and the comfort of knowing that her 14 cookbooks have sold over 8 million copies worldwide. But is the Paula Deen empire over as we know it? That remains to be seen, though it looks like her days dominating the home style living food television scene might be done.
