On Tuesday (Jan. 12), “The Proposal’s” Sandra Bullock joked about her chances against “Julie and Julia” and “It’s Complicated’s” Meryl Streep this Sunday at the Golden Globes where they are both up for Best Actress in a Comedy.

“Meryl’s going to win and I’m going to take her down,” she told talk show host Tavis Smiley. “When she walks up there you’re going to see my heel come off … .”

]]>Critics Choice Awards results are any indication, Bullock’s chances against Streep may be closer than she thinks. The two actresses tied on Friday for Best Actress (Granted, it was for Bullock’s dramatic work in “The Blind Side” that she was nominated.) and had quite the interaction on stage. Between faux “fighting” with Streep, laying a big smacker on her lips and declaring “This is bulls**t,” Bullock is proving to be awards show gold of the intentional variety (as opposed to Mariah Carey who is more unintentional). It’s too bad the ballots were already cast for the Globes before the Critics Choice ceremony went down. After that performance, we’re sure the HFPA voters would have been eager to give us even more actress-on-actress action.
