A Dayton, Ohio air show took a tragic turn on Saturday (June 22) when a plane carrying wing walker Jane Wicker and pilot Charlie Schwenker crashed and exploded into flames at just after noon at the Dayton International Airport, reports the AP.

No spectators were hurt when the 450 HP Stearman crashed to the ground, which you can see in the above video from WHIO-TV.

Ian Hoyt, an aviation photographer who was on the scene taking pictures, tells the AP, “I realized [the plane was] was too loo and too slow. And before I knew it, they hit the ground. I’m still shaking.”

The Jane Wicker Airshows Facebook page posted the following message:

It is
with sad hearts that we announce that Jane Wicker and Charlie Schwenker
were tragically killed while performing at the Vectren Dayton Airshow.
We ask for your prayers for the families and privacy of all involved
and allow them time to grieve and work through these events.

The airshow was canceled for the remainder of the day, but the organizers say the event will resume on Sunday.
