You don’t want to mess with Academy Award-nominated actor Demian Bichir and his soccer. “The Bridge” star is gearing up for the 2014 World Cup, and he’s got big hopes for his home team.
At an event promoting “The Bridge” Season 2, Zap2it asked the Mexico City native who he is rooting for when the World Cup kicks off in Brazil on June 12. “Are you kidding me? Is that a real question? Mexico!” he proclaims with a big laugh.
However, he does have some other favorites if Mexico doesn’t make it out of round one. “One thing is who I am rooting for, and the other is who I think is going to win,” Bichir acknowledges. “I think this Cup will be between of course Brazil, Germany can spoil the party, Argentina can spoil the party, and maybe Spain again, one more time.”
