Key WWE player William Moody, best known for his role as Paul Bearer in the wrestling world, has died at the age of 58.
Paul Bearer was a funeral director character. He “managed” wrestling stars like The Undertaker, Kane, Rick Rude, Vader and Mankind.
Moody died Tuesday evening, the WWE confirms. “WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of William Moody, aka Paul Bearer,” the organization says in a statement. “Moody
made his WWE debut in 1991 as the manager of The Undertaker and went on
to become a memorable part of WWE over the course of the next 20 years.
Our deepest condolences go out to Moody’s family, friends and fans.”
The cause of death has not been confirmed, but TMZ reports that Moody suffered from complications due to morbid obesity and gall bladder issues.
