What a perfect name for a pop star, as the “X Factor” judges point out. Sixteen year-old Jazzlyn Little takes on Mary J. Blige’s “I’m Going Down” and it’s pretty fantastic, especially considering her age. The maturity and the emotional depth that comes through is palpable.

“Your name is Jazzlyn Little? That’s a superstar name with a superstar voice,” says L.A. Reid. Simon echoes, “We’ve been worked.”

“You are a little brilliant gem. We love you, the audience loves you,” says Paula.

“Jazzlyn, I’d love to see what you’re like when you’ve got confidence,” says Simon. “What I love about you is you, I get the feeling, love music, are taking this seriously, are someone who wants to get better, and that’s why we made this show. To find people like you.”
