x factor top 5 results 'X Factor' Top 5 results: Rachel Crow, Marcus Canty or Melanie Amaro, who went home?Time to whittle down to the semi-finalists on “The X Factor.” But first, we get two fabulous performances from Lenny Kravitz and Mary J. Blige. Seriously, how great are they? Mary J. looked so amazing.

Results time. The first person safe is, rather surprisingly, Josh Krajcik. Wow, good for him. The second person safe is Chris Rene. Obviously, Melanie is the other one who is safe, so that leaves Rachel and Marcus to sing for their lives.

Did you see Rachel when they declared Melanie safe? She goes, “I love you,” to Melanie and then she turns to Simon and goes, “I got it. I got it.” She’s so cute.

For the singing portion, Marcus does “I’m Goin’ Down” and he really brings it. However, I think his time has come just by virtue of being in the bottom 2 for three weeks in a row.

Rachel sings “I’d Rather Go Blind” and she really brings it too. I’m actually a little choked up by the end. I think she’s going to stay, but we shall see. It’d be a crime if they send her home after that, no offense to Marcus.

For voting, Simon and L.A. obviously save their own act, so it’s down to the ladies. And then after Paula saves Rachel, Nicole can’t make a choice, so she “votes” to send Rachel home, but just really wants it to go to deadlock.

And then, holy crap. Rachel goes home. She collapses into horrible sobs, as Nicole loses her mind at the judges’ table. Honestly, I think Nicole thought for sure Marcus was going home by the votes and she just wanted to put it on the American public.

Man, this is a darn shame. When Steve tries to talk to Nicole after all the hoopla kind of calms down, the audience just boos her. Ha! She kind of deserves it, I think she knows she screwed up .

What do you think, “X Factor” fans?
