yoko ono tweets bloody glasses john lennon gun control gi Yoko Ono tweets picture of John Lennon's bloody glasses with anti gun message

It’s not unique for Yoko Ono to have a cause to speak out against, however a series of tweets from the artist and widow of Beatles’ member John Lennon are raising eyebrows. An image of what appears to be the bloody glasses Lennon was wearing at the time he was killed was posted by Ono, along with a pro-gun control message.
The image reads “Over 1,057,000 people have been killed by guns in the U.S.A. since John Lennon was shot and killed on December 8, 1980.” Lennon was killed outside of his Manhattan apartment building in 1980, as he and Ono returned home from a recording session.
Ono tweets that she and song Sean Lennon still miss the singer. She also says 31,537 people are killed by guns in the United States every year, adding, “We are turning the beautiful country into a war zone.” In other tweets she calls on Michael Moore and Piers Morgan to join her cause.
Lennon was killed by a mentally ill fan named Mark David Chapman. Chapman was denied parole for the seventh time last August.
