Both shows have been picked up for 13-episode second seasons, though “Married” will be staying on FX while “You’re the Worst” will move to FXX.
“We love these shows and the creative visions of Andrew Gurland of ‘Married’ and Stephen Falk of ‘You’re the Worst,'” says Nick Grad, FX’s Co-President of Original Programming, in a statement. “These shows are honest, 360-degree looks at relationships and we’re excited to see how they evolve.”
“You’re the Worst” follows the narcissistic and self-destructive Jimmy (Chris Geere) and the cynical and stubborn Gretchen (Aya Cash) as they struggle to survive a doomed-from-the-start romantic relationship.
“Married” stars Nat Faxon and Judy Greer as Russ and Lina Bowman, a husband and wife who are miserably in love.
The first seasons of both shows are currently available on FX’s video-on-demand platform for subscribers of the network.
