breaking bad middle school musical youtube geek week YouTube Geek Week salutes 'Breaking Bad', 'Star Wars' and more

YouTube kicked off Geek Week Sunday (August 4) with Blockbuster Sunday, saluting some of the biggest properties that people like to get nerdy about. One of the highlights is a middle school musical version of “Breaking Bad,” complete with a child cast and original songs.  There’s also an animated version of Patton Oswalt’s “Star Wars” filibuster from “Parks and Recreation.”
Other videos include someone building a life-sized “Wall-E” robot, and a battle between “Star Wars” and “Star Trek” fans. If this is the kind of things geeks have to look forward to all week, then YouTube’s event will surely be a success.
One particular day to look forward to is Super Wednesday, which will see the debut of a brand new trailer for “Thor: The Dark World.” There’s also Global Geekery Monday, which will feature anime and some “Doctor Who” goodies.  Geek Week runs through August 10 with all of the video’s available on YouTube’s profile.

You may have seen him as a pro-shark protester in "Sharknado 3." His eventual memoir will be called "You're Wrong, Here's Why..." TV words to live by: "I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing."
