Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed to the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center Saturday (Oct. 8) after she had slipped into unconsciousness and was running a high fever. But now her husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, tells the AP that Gabor’s fever is down, she has responded to antibiotics and she has opened her eyes.
Part of the problem Saturday had been a tube that was bleeding in her stomach, which doctors plan to remove Sunday. Von Anhalt says Zsa Zsa is “a fighter” and he’s optimistic that she’ll pull through all of this.
Gabor, 94, has been in and out of the hospital since she broke her hip in July 2010, eventually having most of her right leg amputated due to a gangrenous infection in January 2011.
