justin bieber 2016 grammys Justin Bieber and Skrillex ask Where Are You Now at the 2016 Grammys

Bieber opened up his performance for the 58th annual Grammy Awards with an acoustic version of “Love Yourself,” without all the craziness that usually accompanies his performances. Perhaps the pop-star’s first Grammy inspired him to mellow things out, but the stripped down version was actually an incredible success.

Bieber then segued to a high energy performance of “Where Are You Now,” accompanied by two other Grammy winners, Skrillex and Diplo.

The DJ duo provided some awesome musicality for the performance, with Skrillex on guitar and Diplo on the keyboard.

The music made up only half the show, since the performance turned into a dance party/light show halfway through the song. During a show filled with slow and sleepy songs, Bieber, Skrillex and Diplo’s exciting mashup was definitely a highlight of the evening.
