The witching hour month is upon us, which means all your favorite shows are starting to roll out their super fun and/or super scary Halloween episodes. From the villains of Springfield uniting as one to a "Murder Island" vacay, here are the Halloweeny highlights for Oct. 16-21, all times Eastern.

'The Simpsons,' Oct. 16, 8 p.m., FOX

It's not only the annual Treehouse of Horror episode -- No. 27 -- but it's also "The Simpsons" 600th episode, a number only one other primetime scripted TV show achieved ("Gunsmoke").

'Brooklyn Nine-Nine,' Oct. 18, 8 p.m, FOX

This FOX cop comedy has a Halloween tradition of the 99th precinct competing to see who is the best detective-slash-genius. "Halloween IV" marks the "ultimate" competition.

'Scream,' Oct. 18, 9 p.m., MTV

The Lakewood massacre survivors head to "Murder Island" to do research for Noah (John Karna) and Stavo's (Santiago Segura) graphic novel. But wouldn't you know it, there's a killer on the loose.

'Scream Queens,' Oct. 18, 9 p.m., FOX

The present-day CURE Institute staff decide to throw another Halloween party, 30 years after the infamous Halloween massacre. What could possibly go wrong?

'The Rocky Horror Picture Show,' Oct. 20, 8 p.m., FOX

This re-imagining of the classic 1975 film boasts an all-star cast, with standouts Laverne Cox as Dr. Frank-N-Furter and Annaleigh Ashford as Columbia, and is a ton of fun. Bonus points of having Tim Curry act as narrator.

'The Vampire Diaries,' Oct. 21, 8 p.m., The CW

This one isn't strictly Halloween themed, but it's time to start saying goodbye to one of the most beloved supernatural shows of the last decade.
