Captain America and Iron Man might be coming to blows in “Captain America: Civil War,” but Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. have chosen to express their rivalry in a more kid-friendly way.

As a gaggle of cheering children looked on, Evans and Downey Jr. whipped out their bedazzled thumbs — with Captain America and Iron Man covers respectively on each — and declared a Civil Thumb War.

Like the good sports that they are, no one won the match, and the whole thing ended in laughter — instead of tears — like we hope the movie will.

The latest trailer teased much more action than the short thumb brawl, and the possible death of a beloved member of the Avengers team. It also teased the long awaited appearance of Spiderman.

“Captain America: Civil War” hits theaters May 6, 2016.
